I am a native of Fayetteville, West Virginia, a small town known for its close proximity to the New River Gorge Bridge (the world’s second-largest steel-arch bridge) and outward bound tourism. Hillary, my wife and Evangeline, our daughter and I currently reside in Atlanta, Georgia. Hillary and I met at the University of Georgia where I was awarded a B.A. in Political Science. Primary areas of focus included sociological, political and economic development, and comparative politics.

Everyone needs a hobby! I have a few. Cooking, songwriting, travel, writing fiction, and helping others to be successful in their endeavors through work, volunteering, and community involvement. My favorite times are those spent with my family.

Everyone needs a guilty pleasure! Mine is collecting hand-blown art glass from West Virginia, where hundreds of studios produced some of the most beautiful and historical American works of art. I built my collection around the Mid Century Modern era. There resides a bit of a treasure hunter within me. Nothing is more satisfying than finding a grand piece at a garage sale, flea market, or secondhand thrift store for $5.00 that is worth $50.00 or $500.00. Let’s call it the ‘thrill of the hunt’.
